As the legal sector is constantly changing, the Warwickshire Law Society is dedicated to providing our members with up to date and relevant training on the issues that most affect them.
As a Law Society accredited course provider, our programme is wide and varied, delivered by expert and highly experienced speakers, covering topics such as Conveyancing, Employment, Wills, Trusts and Probate and Compliance.
As well as providing essential updates on topical issues of law, we also offer soft skill and personal development courses in areas such as client management, finance management and people management to give solicitors and law practices that essential competitive edge.
Courses are open to members and non-members of the society working in the legal profession, although our members benefit from a discounted rate. To become a member of the Warwickshire Law Society, please contact us via our Membership Page.
The Society’s Education & Training Programme is constantly evolving and our events calendar is, as a consequence, frequently being updated.
As a membership organisation, we encourage suggestions from our members on future courses they’d like to attend. To suggest a seminar, please get in touch.
The Warwickshire Law Society organises a wide range of events throughout the year, many are informal and fun, and range from drinks, fund raising events, to sports activities. They provide a brilliant opportunity to network with solicitors and other professionals and enable you to build contacts in the industry and enhance your own reputation.
Previous events have included networking evenings, monthly drinks, pizza nights, informal meals, rounders, skittles and fashion shows.
The highlight of the Warwickshire Law Society social events calendar is the Annual Dinner, which traditionally takes place in November. At this dinner we recognise the excellence and achievements of our young Lawyers with the “Young Lawyer of the Year Award” which was introduced in 2012. The winner of this prestigious event receives an engraved glass trophy which is theirs to keep.
Some of our most successful fundraising events have included a fashion show held at The Dunchurch Park Hotel that raised over £6,000 for Breast Cancer Research, a charity abseil that raised £2,000 for Acorns Children’s Hospice and the 2013 Annual Dinner, which raised £2,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
If you are interested in sponsoring an event, please get in touch through the Contact page.
